Where can I find psychological help for some one having a breakdown in New York city?

Recently move to New York with my wife. The city overwhelms her psychologically, she quits her job and doesn't want to socialize. She loses her health plan and I think she's going insane out of depression. Are there any public health care facilities or programs I can sign her on to so she can overcome this stage?

Call a local Mental Health Center to set up an intake appointment. Your wife could also go to the Department Of Psychiatry at a local hospital if they are accepting new patients. I hope your wife will get the help she needs. Best Wishes to the both of you.
