Try adding on a new dimension to your otherwise pretty usual looking wall by staggering the heights of various picture frames. All picture frames don’t need to be hung at the same height all the time. Staggering the positions of the picture frames you have will be eye catching and in fact interesting for the viewer to see. Various positions you could try with your picture frames.

  • The “Vee” position
  • Zigzag positioning
  • Diagonal up
  • Diagonal down
  • The cross position
  • The vertical alignment

Try changing the sizes of the picture frames you use to match the expanse of the wall you are working with. Use smaller picture frames in smaller or cozy areas like bathrooms and hallways. For larger wall areas, use larger picture frames to match the space and even to accent the bigger ceiling heights. If you already have a bunch of small frames and have a large room or wall to work with, try the vertical aligning that we already mentioned for your pictures to have a heightening effect. You could also have a large picture frame accented with a couple of smaller ones.

Try accenting book shelves and tables with unique kind of frames found in these framing New York studios that reflect your personality. These areas are cozy. Use them to show a more intimate portion of your family life. For these areas consider using paper picture frames or glass picture frames. Family photos work really nice in these areas.

There are many ideas you can make use to create that special look for your room or home. It’s as easy as getting ideas and starting to let your mind flow! Let picture frames accent the best in your home!!!

New York East

New York City is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. It lies at the south-eastern tip of New York State. It is spread out over the islands and indentations of Long Island Sound and New York Bay. It is liked together by a series of famous tunnels and bridges.

Manhattan Island sits at the top of Upper New York Bay, and the Hudson River is to the west and the East River to the east. Manhattan Island is separated from the New York State by the Harlem River.

New York City covers an area of 320sq miles and is made up of the Five Boroughs. Manhattan is regarded as the heart of New York and is made familiar to visitors from all of the films that have been shot in this location. This is the home of skyscrapers, art galleries, museums and theatres.

The Bronx is to the north and the only borough on the mainland. In the past it has had a rather bad reputation but is a rapidly improving area today. Not many people realize that it contains the Bronx Zoo and New York's Botanical Garden.

Brooklyn is situated on the western edge of Long Island. It is famous for the Brooklyn Bridge which links it to Manhattan with a further two bridges spanning the East River. When crossing the Brooklyn your breath is taken away by the amazing views of Manhattan and the river below. Brooklyn is home to over two million people and is the most populated of the five boroughs. A must see tourist attraction is the Brooklyn Museum on East Parkway.

Queens is an area neglected by many visitors who only briefly glimpse it as they make their way from the John F Kennedy International Airport. Tennis lovers will know it better for the US Open Tennis which is held there annually at Flushing Meadow.

The smallest of all the boroughs is Staten Island with a population of around 400,000 people. Visitors usually take a ride on the world famous Staten Island Ferry which is extremely cheap and provides stunning views on its half hour journey.

While visiting New York most tourists take the opportunity to view the site of the World Trade Centre and quietly reflect on the horrors of 9/11. New York is home to the American Museum of Natural History, the magnificent home of millions of objects held in its collection.

Another moving experience is a trip to the Ellis Island Immigration Museum. This is where hundreds of thousands of immigrants first set foot in the States and were held and processed here.

The Empire State Building is located on Fifth Avenue at 34th Street. People are amazed when they realize that this world famous landmark was built in the 1930's. Despite recent security scares people are still able to visit the viewing platform on the top floor and marvel at the panoramic view of New York City.

The Rockefeller Centre is still one of the places to go for shopping and entertainment and many visitors still take in a trip round Central Park on a horse drawn carriage. When there they can explore the zoo and sit on a bench and reflect at the tranquillity of the lake sat in amongst this large bustling city.

No trip to New York is complete without a boat trip around the harbour and a close up view of the Statue of Liberty. It is no wonder that New York City is referred to as the City that never sleeps.

New York Shop

Sample sales are a regular occurrence in New York City, but to the untrained eye it can be quite difficult to know which one to attend and what to do once you’re there. This is because sample sales in New York City often turn an otherwise reasonable person into a spontaneous shopper who ends up scoring all the wrong deals in the heat of the moment. However, with just a few guidelines on how to shop smart and score the best New York shopping deals, you will surely come out as the wisest shopper in the city.

Sample sales in New York City have the best and the worst of fashion. The trick to finding your way through these jungles is to expect the unexpected but retain an acute sense of what works on you and what does not. One great tip is to have a mental checklist of items you would like to add to your closet—things that you may find in sample sales in New York City. When you have a mental shopping list, you will find it much easier to score the best deals around and steer clear of the bad buys.

New York shopping deals during sample sales are really exciting, but can also wreak havoc on one’s credit card or cash allotment. It can be so exciting to snap up all those great items that you won’t also notice how much of a tab you are accumulating. For this reason, it’s always a good idea to keep a running total of what you already have and how much you planned to spend on this particular shopping expedition. This way, you stay within budget while still getting as much stuff as you want.

And of course, you must not forget that you are never alone during a sample sale! There is always another woman right behind you and wanting the same thing that you do; so one good tip is to hold on to what interests you. The minute you set a particular item down, another eager, nail-polished hand will grab for it—and may never let go! So if you want to choose between two purses or three pairs of shoes, hold on to them until you are sure of your choice. If you don’t, you might find yourself in a cat-fight to the death, or staring wistfully at your original choice in the hands of a triumphant shopper across the hall.

And of course, to emerge a winner and rake in all the shopping deals requires details of where and when these amazing sample sales in New York City will take place. Some girls even go as far as to get blueprints of the item stocks, but you need not worry that much. As soon as you set your budget and know that each item you want for yourself will probably be there, you are pretty much set. Remember, if you do not get everything you want in this particular sample sale, there is always another one right around the corner. Smart shoppers arm themselves with knowledge and patience!

If you want to go to NYC for a week... what should we do?

My family.. me, 15/f fashion obsessed... shopping obsessed.. sews... likes broadway... that side of NYC.. will also go to museums and sights..
my mom, late 40's.. likes shopping... LOVES sewing and designing... also likes museums and sights but nothing that requires extreme physical exertion (walking long distances is ok)
my dad, late 40's, likes museums.. loves history... and sights... doesn't mind shopping.. likes to do things alone

we are thinking of going to new york city for a week.
1.WHAT ARE SOME GOOD STORES TO GO TO THAT YOU CAN'T FIND IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD MALL??? (ex. nieman's, bergdorfs, any boutiques.. anything!!)
2. What sights would be cool to see?
3. What are some intersting things to do? Places to tour? Places to go? Things to do?
4. Where are good outlets for designer stuff or just good outlets in the city?
5. What's a good (maybe 3-4 star) hotel that doesn't cost a lot?
We want an awesome expierience...
What should be on our new york checklist? <33

I've lived in NYC my whole life, i'm 22 years old and I can definitly help you out.

Obviously the first place that comes to mind is Times Square. Just a note about Times Square is that 80% of the people who go to Times Square are tourists so this area is very different from the rest of the city (bright neon signs, novelty shops, etc). You should defenitly check it out though. The toys-r-us there has a fun HUGE ferris wheel inside the store that you can ride. MTV studios is also in times square, however they dont have tours. I highly recomend Madame Tussauds wax museum! So fun.

Other museums to check out:
FIT's Fashion Museum (It includes designers like Armani, Balenciaga, Beene, Blass, Chanel, Dior, Galanos, Gaultier, Halston, James, McCardell, Miyake, Moschino, Poiret, and Schiaparell)
Natural History Museum (check out the planetarium... its really amaizing)
Metropoliton Museum of Art

Check out the Empire State building, it has a really great view of the whole city from the top.

Rockerfeller Center is a good place to visit, lots of shopping available plus they have a cute (and famous) ice skating rink thats open until april.

F.A.O. Schwarz, the famous huge toy store on 5th avenue

Central Park, weather permitting... this park is huge and is really nice to visit. You can rowboat in the lake. They also have daily free walking tours year round.

South Street Seaport. I've been really wanting to check out "Bodies, The Exhibition" which displays the inner workings of our bodies through authentic, preserved human body specimens... if you're into that kind of thing. They also have a lot of shopping here plus some specialty shops with 'sea items' like real shells, sea glass, sea sponges etc. If i remember correctly they also give tours of some of the historic sailing ships.

Since you like to shop, you can check out Saks Fifth Avenue, a huge department store with designer goods. Also check out broadway between 14th street and canal street, very cool boutiques line those streets and too many to name.

Weather permiting, check out the famous Coney Island in Brooklyn which hosts a small amusement park and beach.

Ah, i haven't stayed in a hotel here but i hear the Hyatt is really really nice. For a good deal i suggest trying one of those sights like priceline.com.

Holiday accommodation in New York is nearly always of a high standard, just like the price that often goes with it. But for this maybe once in a lifetime visit to marvel at the Empire State, Statue of Liberty, or Central Park, it will most certainly be worth every penny.

New York City is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. It lies at the south-eastern tip of New York State, just above New Jersey. It is spread out over the islands and indentations of Long Island Sound and New York Bay. It is linked together by a series of famous tunnels and bridges, most famously Brooklyn Bridge which links Brooklyn to Manhattan.

Manhattan Island sits at the top of Upper New York Bay, and the Hudson River is to the west and the East River to the east. Manhattan Island is separated from the New York State by the Harlem River.
