which travel adapter can i use in asia(vietnam)?

i am unsure which travel adapter i need to power my laptop in vietnam. also, how much does a travel adapter cost and where can i buy one. do i also need to buy a power converter?

Odds are that the power supply for your laptop can handle 220 vac 50 hz that you will find in Vietnam and the rest of Asia. You will probably need a good plug converter though. This is the one that I highly recommend:

It is compact, very rugged and has plug configurations for anything that you may run into while traveling Asia or the rest of the world.

You may want to get a good power supply just in case. Vietnam is renowned for blackouts and brownouts, which will tear apart your electronics if not protected properly. Again, I would recommend products from APC:
